THE SDOA
The SDOA was formed in May 2010 to help promote responsible dog ownership (good conduct, registration, spaying and neutering) and the representation and advocate of dog owners in the community (fair treatment and representation as a user group). In order to continue with our efforts for additional off leash dog parks, we need as many registered members showing their support for the Association. Please become a member and help support your Dog Owners Association.
What's New
In late 2012 the Rougeview Dog Parkwas made permanent. The park is now
more than an acre of fenced in leash free area that includes a small dog area
for those under 20 pounds and for senior dogs. There is 6 foot chain link fence surrounding the park to ensure that even the most serious escape artist won't make the jump. Both areas have a double gated entrance area to keep from dogs slipping out and open gate. In the main area there is now a shed (for our supplies and extra poop bags) and a shelter from the elements. Most of the park is covered in a good quantity of wood chips and has excellent drainage keeping the park usable in any weather. There are poop stations with bags and garbage and recycling bins throughout the park. In the very near future there will be signs throughout the park and an update of the rules posted. Our last feature we
are waiting on is the water. A pad was laid in the shelter with a drain for where the water is supposed to go. We will need a great deal of support from our membership to get this feature in place.

Membership Drive
We are having a membership drive between now and the Grand Reopening of the Stouffville Dog Park this summer. Sign up and you could win some great prizes from our sponsors. Grand Opening
We are planning a large grand opening for the park once it is finished and
the date is to be advised. We do need volunteers to help plan and run the

Sponsorship Program
We are begining a sponsorship program in the park to raise some money for the operation of the
Stouffville Dog Owners Association. Banners will be put up in the park and our sponsors will be
